The Steak Festival in Cortona (AR) takes place on August.The Steak Festival of Ferragosto is one of the most important events of Cortonese gastronomy and is held every year at the Parterre gardens (public gardens).Florentine steaks, rigorously of Chianina breed meat, cooked in the blood, as required by the ancient Tuscan tradition, are cooked in a 14-meter giant wire rack (the largest in Italy).In addition to the side dishes, bread and fruit, the menu includes excellent Chianti wine or Cortona Doc, excellent for accompanying our meat. At the "Steak Festival" you will not only find steaks but also food stalls, with typical Tuscan and Cortonese products.
